it seems to me today that the whole suarez joke has actually hidden how poor we where today.

apart from the 3-1 last season dalglish has bottled it vs man utd. i would rather have went there today and lost 3-0 having a go @ them than going for a point because thats what he did today.

why didnt he start with at least carroll or bellamy up front with suarez floating around?

it has been shown that whenever any team has had a right go at united they have been found wanting at the back. their goalie had a stroll today we didnt even test him.

i didnt even know henderson was playing until the squad list was flashed across in the second half.

the fact is dalglish is cautious. I by no means am no Rafa nutter but we may as well as just kept him in charge considering where we are now and the hodgson era.

not a knee jerk this its something ive been feeling for a long time. we are not good enough, the money that kenny has spent has been spent poorly. it is time some questions where asked, if Roy was still gaffer there would be bloodshed after that performance today.

downing is a poor signing, carroll is not someone i will slaughter because he is getting poor service & the 35 million was not his fault, henderson may come good but jesus he hides most of the game and doesnt create much. adam is a squad player and is actually the only player who has really created goals this season.

as for were still in the cups yes we are, but lets be frank when has the carling cup been a big deal to us? also the fa cup is winnible this year yes but as long as we can avoid spurs

on the money

in the past...glory years... our reserves cud win the carling cup.

KD/LFC are so desperate to win a cup, that winning the carling cup as become the main priority.

winning the carling cup, will only hide some the cracks in the manager/team etc etc

i think the yanks know they cant trust him with the cash, his appointment was purely a PR score with the fans. I can see a change coming - no way Kenny will still be here by the 2013-14 season.

by appointing kenny the yanks have made it difficult to change the manager - kenny should have just had the caretaker stint. I and a lot of ther reds I speak to agree we have no Plan A never mind a Plan B

What I don't understand is that last season when we understood our defence was weak (because we had no first team fullbacks fit, and Carra was still injured), we went out there and attacked. We won a LOT of games, and tended only to drop points when players got injured in a week when we'd had a mid-week game (eg Meireles and Kelly vs West Ham, Meireles vs Wigan, Agger vs West Brom etc). Until we lost to Spurs at home we'd played fantastic football, scoring 5 twice.

This season our defence remained suspect and no sooner had Agger and Skrtel started to combine well, Lucas got hurt. But rather than go out and attack, Kenny instead has us defending. And you won't win too many games where you set out to put 9 men behind the ball. We've scored 3 once. When we did actually set out to attack (especially against the bigger clubs) we tended to get the result we needed (both carling cup legs vs City, beating chelsea twice at the bridge in 9 days, at home vs united).

Nothing about our season thus far suggests we should have 9 men behind the ball against any opposition, because that invites them to beat us (or at least take a point from Anfield).

Now that we (should be) desperate for points hopefully things will change, and we'll get men forward more regularly. Men like SG, who is hopeless as a defensive player but may still have it as an attacking captain. Men like Johnson, who looks good when he doesn't have to defend. Not men like Spearing who can't seem to pass any more.

johnson is a joke, thank goodness kellys coming through id be tempted to flog johnson for 12-15 mill if anyone is daft enough to buy

your spot on about the attacking, rafa did the same = remember th 08-09 sseason when he just let the chains off and we scored countless goalds that season. the points we have got at home we would have had just as many by going gung ho

i think KD had a great chance last month, to improve the quality of the starting 11, by signing or loaning 2/3 players.

keeper, defence are fine.

midfield is so poor, un-balanced, that the strikers are struggling to score.

if kd signed ie krasic, elai, diarra on loan,
i think it wud have given the team a boost and a top 4 finish a possibility this season.

fine line between winning n losing, staying in a job or not.

i think KD needs a young foriegn coach alongside him

Henderson and Downing need to leave and get replaced with players worthy of the red shirt as they are both [oops].

Spearing is also not quite ready to step up.

Silly stat:
We are 4 behind Arsenal in 4th. We seem to think we can overtake them, aided by beating them at home, because their form is inconsistent.

We are 4 ahead of Norwich in 8th. They must think the same about their chances of overtaking us, given that they play us at their home ground, because our form is inconsistent. (For the record, Arsenal Goal Difference is 13 to our 6 to Norwich's -4, which is to say Norwich only have one extra goal to overcome, so their task is much the same as ours and they have a more reliable frontline)

EDIT: no, no, i cant count

we have been rubbish this season. any other season chelski and gooners would be at least 10=12 points better off

fact is team know they only need to sit back as we cannot create anything
