i really like robinson as well. and i see what your saying about the LB 10M would be a touch excessive for a back up. but wingers are the most important we only have 1  We actually have 2 (1 left and 1 right), but both are being played out of position all the time, and 1 of them is so out of touch that I have never seen anything like it before!  we have a right winger? who? or are you joking? Last time I checked we had a guy in the squad named Craig Bellamy. That is a player who have shown what it is to be a threat out on the right wing. Am I right or wrong (or possibly left...)?  bellamy can be dangerous on the left but he isn't a winger.

I agree that Bellamy isn't an out & out winger who goes all the way down to the byline for a juicy cross, but he surely knows how to widen the game. For me that is more than anything else the trademark of a good winger.
What I don't like with wingers is when they cut in too early (which makes the defending that much easier). The right time to cut in (if you don't choose to cross from the byline) is just as the fullback appears in your field of vision and comes on the overlap. This is all about timing and understanding of the principles of the game.
Bellamy has all this in his backbone, whereas some others just don't.

bellamy can play as a winger, if KD wishes to play him their.
downing plays on the right wing, cuzz KD wants him to.
kuyt plays as a right mid/winger, cuzz rafa/KD wants him to.
kelly plays right back, cuzz KD wants him to.
what have all the above got in common???, all playing out of position and not performing to their ability per game.
KD putting round pegs in square holes.
play players in their natural positions for them to perform, week in week out.
If KD needs a right winger, then he shud fcuking sign a right winger, not ask a left winger, or a striker to play their.`

I'm quite sure he can't play in all those teams at the same time.
But I've heard about "Joint Ventures" where 2 clubs have owned one player at the same time!

I think he was just making a point as to how misleading the sentence was. A player leaving a club has no bearing on whether he's coming to us over someone else.
