Could that be because we have no recognised goalscorers in the team? Suarez / Bellamy are playermakers not sure what Kuyt is and Andy Carroll on record so far is not good enough.
Maybe but Suarez's record at Ajax suggests he is a goalscorer and Bellamy's his scoring record is okay for a playmaker
Not much chipping in with goals from midfield either. Downing has yet to score in the league, the goals have dried up from Adam, and although last night he was given a free-er role, Gerrard plays too deep to weigh in with the goals like he used to
I agree though - the club should have signed a recognised goalscorer (even if it was a stop-gap) in the transafger window
