I think on the back of our home form i am wondering if we are more of a cup team rather than a league team

It seems that yes we are unbeaten at home but only 4 wins out of 12 means that we cannot win much either. This is ideal for a cup competition where not being beaten is key and keeping it tight.

But i would rather lose a few at home and win the rest than draw after draw. It seems we are way too defensive at home and don't really have a go at teams. Last night we were more concerned in stopping bale then doing anything down that side of the pitch.

Yes the final ball is poor but how many options are there in the final third and when crosses do go in there is one red and about 5 spurs players there. You are never going to smash teams if you don't commit and be prepared to take a few risks.

After the past couple of games I thought we had a good chance of beating Spurs especially with VDV out, unfortunately we didn't make enough chances.

I agree we need to start winning more at home and not care about losing, 3 points is much better than 1.

We are still in with a shout for 4th as I can see Sunderland and Newcastle getting at least a draw from their matches at weekend and United are there for the taking as they have been poor all season, plus we are always up for matches versus United.

Our main problem is the mentality against the smaller teams like Norwich, Bolton & Blackburn for years we have dropped silly points against these clubs, until we get the consistency we will never progress into the Top 3.

I don't think we are a cup team though.

I personally think we lost fourth place last night and until we rebuild the front line and parts of midfield I cannot see us doing it next year either. So yes we are a cup team.
