We need to work harder from wide positions, too many poor crosses flung aimlessly into the box late on, but impressed with Carroll finally and think 6 is a little unfair. He was probably our best, most committed player and deserves a 7 in my opinion. Spearing frustrated me with his final ball but at least he was working his socks off 5. Gerrard showed glimpses 6.5. Back four solid, but Kelly especially needs to show a little more quality in the final third. 6.5s all round for them. Bellamy toiled without his usual success and despite normally being Kuyt's most ardent supporter he had me shouting obscenities at the tv too many times, 4.5!!
So close to being very good and fingers crossed, with just a couple of chances converted, we can have a good run? If a bit of perspective is needed though, at least we showed that we can stifle and get the better of one of the form teams this season.
