Whats the issue with that it make him richer. Tactically it was the optimum thing to do just as all our current squad are doing including our captain. No difference whatsoever as far as I can see.

So Stanley are you implying that Gerrard isnt worth it, hasn't earned it or isn't loyal. Pretty big statement to be making.
There are all out for what they can get they are all self employed businessmen not even on LFC's payroll they are all contract via Ltd companies. All of them Owen, Gerrard etc are out for the maximum they can get. If Gerrard had accepted £20k per week rather than £150k and turned down £130k a week that would show loyalty. I remember when we were shocked John Barnes was getting £5k a week noe Gerrard gets 30 times that amount. It is obscene not haing go at Gerrard but all modern footballers. Anyone who things they do things out of loyalty must need medical help.
