Watched the game really good match very enjoyable.

Spurs won but we were the better team in my view. The spurs goalie was MOM and saved them.

Just let the game and never seen a one sided match in my life. So many
chances but could not finish. Spurs had one chance and scored. Sterlin MOM, he was on everyone lips at the ground ran the game from start to finish and should of scored.

Oh no just had a thought.

Maybe we are training the academy lads to miss chances so the next generation can keep up the recent tradition.

we played well and on another day we would have won the game. sterling had a good game and surely needs to go out on loan to a champion team to get much needed experience. if i was manager i would be tempted to play him RM with kelly behind him

You see, we shouldn't be sending players like that out on loan. They can play for us and get experience for us right now. Some of them are ready and able today, for tomorrow.

It's been a long time (if not the first time) since we have had an academy like this, always looking to bring brilliant potential from other clubs, early.

They need to be thrown into the deep end and as early as possible, as long as they are protected and cared for. We shouldn't be waiting till 21, 22, to be coming on as substitutes, because we should think ahead, what the player would be like, playing for the first team now, when they reach 21, 22.

Some players aren't ready and do need to be given more time, but players like, Sterling, Suso, Morgan and Coady should be given a chance. I honestly feel by bringing these players in early, they will be experienced footballers come 21, 22.

But we will probably throw them out on loan, when there really is no need for it at all, with these specific players.

If managers weren't so stubborn and having fetish's over certain players and giving everyone, able enough, a fair chance, regardless of age, we will be getting the best out of players.

For me Sterling should be playing on the right wing/left wing for the first team. Coady should be given the same chances as Adam, Suso should be playing in behind the strikers and Morgan should be coming of the bench.

They could grow up with the first team and prevent us having to fork out top dollar for similar players that either, might not live up fully to the expectation, or not do a better job than the youngsters anyway.

If they don't cut it in the first team, then they can go out on loan. That's when the loan option should be used and only then.

Next season, these four players should be given the opportunity in our first team. Not Blackpool's and co.

throwing young players into the first team has it's downsides. Whilst they appear to be perfoming well quite often the phsical nature of seniors can put uneccesary strain on their bodies. This tends to lead to injuries later in their careers. Thinks Owen, Fowler, Alan Smith all were very good at a young age yet suffered terribly when in their mid twenties. We need to be patient and let them grow and strengthen.
Rarely happens in spain or Italy that a 17/18 yr old plays in the first team. Usually 20/21 before getting appearances

Throwing youngsters in works the charm as their careers extend. Owen, Fowler, look at Wilshire now.

Happy to see players like Sterling get some game time in easy/won matches, but he'll not be a first teamer for 2-4 years, imo. He'd be better on loan.
