What a player!

Positioning is the only thing, when the attacker can ever get the better of him. He had a bad couple of games, for his high standard, against City and United.

But back to his best now.

Unbelievable defender and fantastic going forward.

His physical strength is stunning, I don't think I've ever seen anyone get the better of him in that area. In the build up for Dirk Kuyt's goal, he made Frimpong look like a total baby, composed, run out of defense, looked up, played a fantastic long ball out to Kuyt.....and we all know what followed.

He done it all game, not even big physical players can get the better of him. A solid brick wall.

I hope his play ends up getting him a few goals for us. He deserves it.

.....and he deserves to play in the starting 11 in the Euro's for Spain.

The opta stats said he had the most accurate passing rate as well. He can dribble, he can cross, he can tackle, he can pass, and he can run. The complete defender. He was a real coup. Best LB in the league, hands down.

I feel a right moose for having my doubts when we got him,he's one of the best signing we've had in years. If it wasnt for Beller's coming in on a free he would be in my opinion the best signing.

Not so sure myself. I reckon he's good, but not proven as great yet.

It's so noticeable that he can't use his right foot. I don't think I've ever seen him touch the ball with it even once.

Against City when he had that chance, he poked at the ball with his left foot. He should really have swung his right foot at it, a bit like the way Park Ji Sung did against us.

The goal we concede against United was because someone got the better of Enrique in the build up where he put in a challenge awkwardly with his left foot when it looked as if he had a better chance of success if he used the right foot.

His shooting from distance could also do with some improvement.

Take it you haven't seen yesterdays game at all then?

and didn't read the original post.

The only way he has ever been beaten, is because of positioning. One on one, I don't think I've seen someone get the better of him.

He is a left footed player, but I've seen him use his right lots. Crossing, shooting, controlling and passing.

He has had a few weak shots on goal, but I've seen him have some decent ones as well, which normally get blocked. He will score from one eventually.

I honestly don't think you've ever seen him play.

Best LB in the league? I'd go as far to say as best LB in the world, who's better, right now, at this minute?

Without a doubt.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.
