1st match next gen series quarter final at white hart lane on wednesday (tonight).

I saw the match the spurs youth played against Inter Milan and they were incredible mind you you don't associate the Inter academy for producing star players and they were quite poor. They won 7-1 but literally every single shot spurs had was in the top left or right corner or was finished excellently. They had only 7-10 shots and scored 7 which is quite amazing.

Of course we're noted for having one of the best academies but no one seems to notice spurs academy and there scouting with so many english players coming through at the moment.

2nd game is of course the game at Anfield next Monday.

In my own opinion I'd say Spurs have the best 11 in the league whilst some may say City's 11 with Yaya back is better this spurs team can score from anywhere. Literally every position can score for spurs while for City there are a few players who don't provide input attacking wise on a regular basis.

With this in mind I'd take a draw against spurs but of course we're lfc and always go for the win.

Team news - It's early after the Wolves game so no idea on injuries but Gerrard I imagine will be touch and go as he's apparently strained his hamstring thus he missed the Wolves game.
Bar that I'd say everyone is fit unless there is a knock or two from the last game.

For Spurs I'd expect Assou Ektou to be banned for our match after the high challenge on Di Santo and the ref missing the challenge. If that's the case the fa should ban him for a few games. Van der vaart has a calf problem from the Wigan game and Defoe and lennon will be touch and go for Monday as they currently have hamstring injuries but are meant to be back for our game.
The bad news is Sandro is meant to be back after missing the last month and I rate him a lot and believe he has the ability to stifle all our creativity should he play, but vitally he won't be match fit so won't last the full 90.

Imo this team wouldn't work it's more or less the same team that lost 4-0 at WHL and lacks balance and the right creativity.
I'd prefer only one of Carroll or Suarez to play and Hendo or Gerrard to play as the replacement if gerrards fit. Imo I'd honestly prefer carroll over suarez as the team is finally starting to play to his strengths and if suarez starts we may go back to a style that won't suit carroll. Also in all the matches against Spurs Suarez has been stiffled by the spurs cb's and midfield so playing carroll would give them a new challenge.

For spurs:

I'd expect it to be one of VDV or Lennon to play hopefully both will be unfit, if so Livermore will play.
