As the top four is really strong would a cup double make up for not making the top four this season.
Would this be a successful season for Daglish and would us fans accept it if we did not make the champions league.

It would depend on the league position if we finished 5th just missed out on fourth yes. If we finished 8th and were way off the pace no. This club was built on European glory at the very top and that where we must position ourselves. Plus the necessary money from Champions league. Cups are a one off thing nice but we wont progress the club on that.

CL any day. we need the money and all the other things that come with being a CL team

I'd prefer a cup double. We're not good enough to win the CL so i'd prefer to win soemthing, it's been a while.

I undertsand the point people generally make about being able to draw players and generate more money but for a season at least, i'd like to see us lifting a trophy.

After all winning is what competitions are about, not taking part

only one cup final sorted 4th is very unlikely and its not like its burscough today in the cup so just be thankful for at least one cup final its not like we go every season to cup finals is it !!!!

If we don't finish below where we finished last year but won a cup double, then yes. Top 4 is still very much attainable though, and now we have some momentum on our side. We just beat the two best teams in the country in the same bloody week. We can do it, lads.
