Rumours are spreading that the David Texeira deal has fallen through....

The Texeira deal was rumoured to have been done a couple of hours ago! Who is your source and when are we actually going to sign someone?

We need a striker that can go into the team, but we also need to stick with what we have got for now and force them to improve. We don't need to pay big money for big names; we just want someone who can actually find the back of the net on a regular basis and you do not need to be a superstar to do that. If you are meant to be a striker, that should come naturally. We would be just as well off taking a kid from the streets of Liverpool and putting him in the team, as long as he has enthusiasm, skill and can score goals as we have at getting so called big names. Its not big names that get results; its hard work, skill and dedication.

Ban the January window! Then players would have to get down to some hard work instead of wondering who they are moving onto next and may-be clubs should say that a contract is just that a contract; and you are going to work for that contract and till it expires and that is an end to it. I want to see a decent striker come and assist Suarez, but I also think that we are just trying to take the easy way out. Who really cares if we get more players or not? We have enough already!

Would love to see Sow if possible but after the game against City, do we really need another striker, even temporarily?
This season Craig Bellamy has really been looked at as a winger as opposed to a striker, yet leading the line (alone) this morning he was incredible! Honestly, if we need anything now it's a defensive midfielder and pacey wide men.
Up front we really have Suarez, Carroll, Bellamy and Kuyt (although I wouldn't be too upset to see the latter leave) as well as obviously Adam Morgan etc in our reserves.

If the Krasic rumours are true, I would love to see him come in on loan with a possible permanent deal, depending on performances, being done in the summer.

If this Texeira deal has been done I'll be over the moon but don't think he should be rushed into the squad.

I think we all saw this morning that Stevie shouldn't be playing that holding role and we may need to get someone in there temporarily until Lucas is fit.
