Actions speak louder than words and the only manager barking orders to his team ON THE PITCH was Owen Coyle.
Kenny looked like a quiet figure on the touchline yesterday. I expected a rollicking at half time, I don't think one was given, at all. When it was fully needed and justified. Obviously we don't know that, because we are not sat in the dressing room. But I would have expected every single player, to wake up in that second half, after a good shouting to at half time.
and the fact is, none of them did. Even the subs that came on, did absolutely nothing.
Kenny can say what he likes to the press and the cameras, it's about what is being said to his players...and I honestly feel, my gut feeling, tells me, nothing of any aggression was said at half time from him. Because if it was, we would have seen a different attitude second half, from players AND manager.
I think Kenny gave up, much like us, at 2-1 even. Bellamy deserved his goal, but in a way, the team didn't. The writing was on the wall, when just about every player in a red shirt, didn't deserve to be wearing one yesterday. No effort, no passion, no pride....and all of that culminated in. Poor touches, lack of positional awareness, lack of footballing brain, passing was terrible, no movement, falling over, mis controlling the ball wildly, kicking air when shooting.
It honestly felt like it was all a joke, the players looked like a bunch of very average Sunday league players. A lot of our fans paid money to go and see that game yesterday and support the team.
....and our players all should have stayed in bed.
It's very upsetting for me, because it goes against everything we are as a club to see that. None of those players, except for Bellamy, gave more than 25% of what they are capable of, sh*t or not sh*t.
I don't think a Carling Cup 2nd leg semi-final, has anything to do with how those players played yesterday. Not at all, no excuse what so ever!
But I tell you what, they wanna hope, every single one of them give 100% at Anfield in the next game.
If not, your out!
(But will Dalglish stand by his words?)

a full weeks training no distractiions no games no issues off the pitch for a nice change , a full week to sort out tactics a full week of the coaches and manager working with these players , and then he questions there attitude , well i say he should question his own attitude easy to just blame the player and yes they are to blame , but like when roy hodgson was in charge and the players didnt seem to care where did the buck stop , firmly at the feet of hodgson , so it must land at the feet of dalglish as well , its not just bolton wanderers , it was stoke city home and away , swansea city , norwich city , blackburn rovers , wigan athletic , the team cant score goals ok yes some good performance's this season especially in the cup and chelsea in the league , but the bad has outweighed the good too many bad performance after millions spent on allegedy improving the squad , ok suarez is missing but he isnt what you would say prolific before his ban 1 goal in 12 not good , but the last 6 or 7 weeks have been the worst the way the suarez issue was dealt with , the tee shirts the dire display's at home which hurts the most , yes blame the players but the buck stops with dalglish and he should not be immue from and sort of scrutiny .

Yes good post Faz and I would not disagree with much of that. I think Dalglish is doing the right thing laying the law down I would not have been impressed if hwe glossed over so respect for that. The one issue with laying the law down though is if it fails to work then you need to act. And I guess who will he be acting against if its his signings then it puts him in a funny postion asking for more money to start again. I personally think Kenny may well stand down himself if he doesnt feel he can do it, he is not daft. We will see.

I agree Kenny needs to fire a rocket up the players backsides but also he is responsible for getting the team he decides to field play at their best.
I think everyone is to blame, scouts, players, coaches and manager.

Publicly blaming the players always looks bad. KD is there to set up, manage, motivate etc. If it’s not happening – particularly when he has been well supported in constructing the team, he has to shoulder the blame. I agree with the posters that have made the comparison with Hodgson – pointing out that, despite inheriting an almost impossible situation, he had to take all of the blame when success didn’t follow. If Dalglish had not managed LFC before he’d be given a far harder time. As a player, he’ll always be a legend at the club. His second tenure as manager threatens to sully his reputation as a manager. I think he’s in a very difficult position – mostly, one has to say, of his own making. The bottom line is that, he’s had the funds and he’s had the backing. I don’t want to hear him saying anything to the press about the players’ attitude. He needs to speak to them at half time – in a way that elicits a more positive reaction. If he can’t do that, he’s not the man for the job. I can’t see any point in blaming Adam, Henderson, Downing or Carroll for the situation. They may not be up to the job they’ve been asked to do but that’s not their fault. It’s not as if they can resign or similar. They didn’t ask LFC to pay the money. Every player that comes to the club comes to be a success. That I believe. Even Carroll, who left his club of choice, would have wanted success and nothing else. If the attitude, on arrival, was the right one, it’s up to the management to manage the players effectively from there on in. If the skills/talents are there it’s up to KD to make the most of them. We can all see a decline. I can only see one conclusion.

The blame is at King Kennys door as he signed Adam,Carroll,Hendo, so come on Kenny keep it behind closed doors!

.....and what about players who were already at the club?
Gerrard seems to be void of criticism because of his stature and sentiment people have towards him. He has done great things for us and YES he has been injured for a long while. But I tell ya, he doesn't look even half of the player he was, regardless of age.
He simply pulls out of things now, afraid. He is not a player we can rely on right at the end all the time now.
It seems a very sensitive subject, but this bloke has just been given a customary compulsory 5 year contract WITH assurances after he hangs up his boots, on £150,000 GUARANTEED every week. Do some of you forget that?
£150,000 a WEEK is said like its absolutely nothing to people.
Captain or no captain, he gets paid that simply because of what he has done. Great, wonderful, brilliant, arguably our best player ever.
But not now.

Well if that contract is true particularly with Gerrards injury issues and age I think the club is completely insane. Whoever is running it has completely lost any sense of reality. Are Giggs and Scoles on deals like that?
And once again an insult to the fans who are trying to find the money to attend the games. If I cannot get work before June my £800 will be coming out of my savings.
