What really annoys me is that in Junior Hoillet there is a winger that can play both sides that is far better than what we have (tormented Everton all day yesterday). The kid is still very young and coming to the end of his contract. I am told an offer just shy of £4M would get him. If we hadn't bought Andy Carroll we could have had 9 (NINE) Junior Hoilletts (yes I know wages aside) but you get my point!
it just goes to show what a state we are in,we are in desperate need of better players but the board/owners wont allow any more spending under the current mangement team.yes i know that we have recouped some money but the fact is we have spent over £100million and produced a crap team.its no longer about waiting for this and that,we'll see what ever,when blah blah is back/fit or what ever. like the title of the thread says.this current team is one of the poorest we have had in amny many years.we are further away from winning the title now than we were when we first started to drag ourselfs back to the top of english football. bullets need to be bitten and heads need to roll.
I fear that players like kuyt,carragher,Gerrard, who were our leaders on the pitch no longer have the legs to carry the dead wood like Carroll,Adam,Downing,Henderson! Time to overhaul and rebuild !
