When Kenny took over last year, he changed it up and played the youngsters and we played really well.

I think he needs to go back to that and have a go at playing the likes of shelvey etc...

Our 1st team are not performing at the moment so need to give them a rest and try something different.

Whats the worse that can happen, we lose, so what, we are already losing.

I hear you on best squad, but then that means our "best squad" is worse than Boltons.

We need to set an example, the current example is "play bad, play next week".

We need go for "play your heart out, play for the shirt, perform and earn your money or you won't play next game"

If i was a youth player i'd be well up for the challenge to take one of the so called 1st team players place in the squad.

Even I would accept now that 4th will not be achieved. I don 't even want us to finish 4th with these players because recently they have shown how bad they can be when given the prolonged opportunity to do so.

With Lucas out and Spearing injured we can watch Maxi, Adam , Downing and Henderson coast through games because they can. None of these 4 has what it takes. Henderson has potential but Shelvey has far more potential than he does and was a fraction of the cost and the kid puts a shift in when given the chance.

No point finishing 4th because we only have to look at two teams far better equipped than we are who are playing Thursday night football this season. Our players will need to learn about European football through the Europa league before taking on what could be a humiliation.

Could you imagine this team in the Champions League, would be a huge embarrassment to Liverpool Football club.

If we win the Carling Cup and get into the Europa that is a step in the right direction and with a few good additions to the club we could progress further next season.

Take Kuyt, Johnson & Carroll out and replace with Kelly, Shelvey & Bellamy you might have a team capable of winning wednesday.

If we could win Carling Cup that would give us European football and a chance to carry on the education of some of our youngsters. Once top 4 is out sight then that is the time to ensure that these promising youngsters get a chance to play. Kelly can play RB and Johnson can play RW. Coates can get a few games and the likes of Flanagan, Robinson and Shelvey can have a few more outings too. We need to find out who is willing to put in the effort and who needs to be moved on.

And we all want to see that don't we? And who would suddenly be getting us goals ? We have players who have been there before and have the experience but there are many others who have not been there who are way short of playing at that level.

Henderson, Adam and Downing against the like of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Robben, Sneijder etc... we would look mediocre if we put those three out against them.

I think Europa is a step in the right direction and then we can progress next season.
