I forgot about Rhodes, I think he would be a decent signing for us. I can see Kenny being interested, given the Scottish connection. But I can also see a lower club signing him, molding into a superstar, and selling him to us for £30 million in a couple years.

I wouldn't mind signing Torres. I think he'll come good eventually, but he has some serious mental issues that he needs to get rid of. Physically, he's the same player, but something is not right in that boy's head.

I'm reading now that we tabled a 5 million bid for Scott Sinclair...he's impressed me this season and for that money I think he'd be worth a punt, will certainly bring a much needed injection of pace going forward. He's shown he is tidy with the ball as well, Swansea play some nice stuff.

What does everyone think of Scott Sinclair? At £5 million, I think he'd be OK. He certainly has pace, even though his final ball is lacking sometimes. He was a hell of a player in the Champo, although his transition to the Premier League hasn't been the smoothest.

Read that too about Sinclair but as far as I can see it's still very much unconfirmed at the moment, and without any reliable source. I think he's a decent player and wouldn't mind seeing him signed if the price was right.

sinclair for 5/6m and hoilett for the same price, left n right side of mid, sorted for years to come.
carroll will start scoring goals and downing might just start playing to his true ability, cuzz he now has competition

these 2 players fit into FSG plans of signing young talented players with resale value.

My worry with Sinclair is that, if he's not really even a top Premiership player, then how is he going to fare in the Champions League? Same with Hoilett. He's good, but not outstanding. Granted, they're still relatively young and could improve, but I think we need to take a break from buying British (or Canadian in Hoilett's case) and look elsewhere for our talent. Homegrown status shouldn't even be an issue for us. We have Gerrard, Carra, Johnson, Kelly, Shelvey, Spearing, Carroll, Downing, Bellamy, Adam - and that's just the first team.

Definitely need Hoilett. He's quick, tricky and gonna get better. If he goes to Spurs and turns into Bale mark II I would be gutted!!

Players like Sinclair are mid table players, and how many of them do we have.

I see that Newcastle have had a bid of 10mil accepted for Papiss Cisse of Freiberg in Germany, the same player that said a season ago that he dreamed of playing for us. He's from Senegal, and IMO is better than Ba. Mark my words, he will be a bargain and will knock in the goals for them.

I just hope we have someone good in the pipeline, because Newcastle are showing Camolli how it's done.
