The more I think about things I'd be happy if we took a punt on Sow, he's strong and quick, more direct than we have, could be a good alternative for us.

Sow will be Ba Mk 2 for someone - hopefully us. He's quick, strong, and knows where the net is. Good in the air but can also play the ball on the deck. He's younger than Defoe and would be significantly cheaper. I really think he'd be a very canny signing. But unfortunately that's a bit un-LFC at the moment.

I think it's fair to say that Tottenham think there players are worth double now, because of the best position they have been in, in donkeys years. They want £15 odd mill for Pavlyuchenko. If that doesn't say it all, then I don't know what will.

I think we have to say at £20mill for Defoe (if the rumor is correct) they can shove it where the sun don't shine. They are trying to do a Newcastle here, because they also know we need goals, goals that could put them out of the top 4. They ain't stupid and they know they could rinse us especially seeing what happened with Carroll (a player they was after)

There is better out there for less. Jordan Rhodes knows where the f*cking goal is, regardless of what league he is playing in. Robbie Fowler knew where the goal was, at his peak he would have done it in any league.

Players like this are few and far between. Jordan Rhodes will end up going to a Sunderland or something, bang in 20-25 goals in a season and be worth £20 mill. When we could take a punt on him for much less, now.

Not much movement at all though at the moment, I honestly expected something this week and to be able to feature at Bolton on the weekend. It doesn't look like that now!

I just don't get the Defoe thing. He's about 5% better than Bellamy, sure makes him worth the huge outlay?

He isn't better than Bellamy at all. Defoe is not worth over 1,5 million atm. Bellers has been in top form. The only thing that comforts me is that I KNOW we will not get Defoe and we are not after Defoe. That rumour simply originated to replace the Bent to Liverpool rumour after kenny squashd that one. Sow is a very realistic target but th eproblem is that he is going to the African cup of Nations so perhaps a summer move is more likely. I don't know who will be brought it, but I know it won't be Defoe.

So this is quite interesting, seems Torres is definately up for sale...More than one paper ran this story....What do you make of it? Should we make a move for him? Keep in mind that Kenny does have a tendency to bring back former strikers and turn them into real legends.

Reports coming out in Serbia are claiming that liverpool were very interested in Lazar Markovic but have turned down the oppurtunity to sign him after the fee asked was revealed to be in the region of 17 million euros. Personally, I think this is a good move on our behalf. Partizan Belgrade will sell for less, much less..they are trying to take us for a ride. I just hope no one snaps him up before we do.

My memory may be vague but I thought Torres before leaving LFC he was finding the goal again! I mean all i remember when we attacked that Torres was point but supported by 3-4 players.

TBH which is why we aren't getting the best out of Carroll! I might be slated for this but i think Carroll will come good once we play to his strength! If not, then very sorry.

We need a striker. Only 3 is not enough! Torres would be a piece of brilliance. I never wanted to sell him. But the money helped to forget about him
