Why the hell we sold Ayala for that much, I'll never know.

The same will happen with Danny Wilson....sooner or later.
These are natural footballing defenders, like Agger....may I add these are very hard to come by.....and we sold Ayala to Norwich for less than a million.

Rumours are Texeira and Castaignos,I would question how much Grob would actually know about transfers,two young lads trying to find their way in the game,is that what we require at the moment? I would definitely question Grobbelaar on this occasion as Teixeira only signed for Groningen about 6 months ago! And why would Kenny sign an overseas player? He has rarely done it in the past so isn't likely to start now. Combine these 2 factors and likelihood that we are signing Teixiera is virtually nil.

How much you wanna bet that we get this Texeira fella this January or in the summer? We are after Uruguayan footballers, because Uruguay's players tend to match their skill, with high work rate and effort. These aren't some of the Brazilian and Argentinian golden-boy lazy boy's. These Uruguayans graft. Look at Suarez for us, sometimes he needs a slap and told to calm down. They are hyperactive! Put money on Uruguay winning the next world cup. I have a strong feeling they'll win it. Quality everywhere.

i'm surprised theres not more talk about defoe on here guys,the rumour seems to be gathering pace much faster and with more substance than the bent rumours.i've never been a huge fan of his but anything under £10m for him and i would say its a good deal.deadly on his day and might relish playing infront of the kop.what he has going for him over bent is the ability to create a chance from nothing,he doesnt always need the service to score.and when you play with a striker who has pace the defenders of the oppo team will drop deeper allowing more space for gerrard and adam to use thier passing and shooting skills.
lets face it saurez and defoe would frighten the crap out of alot of defenders.

lets face it saurez and defoe would frighten the crap out of alot of defenders. For £10m, i'd snap him up in an instant. He may not be a spring chicken, but he's exactly what we need at the moment, imo. He's a pacey striker with a natural goalscoring instinct. I'd love to see him signed, tbh. I reckon if you put him up front in our team he's score bagfuls of goals. We need to get back to playing a 4-4-2 system though.

But I agree, I think he could work out quite well with Suarez. I'd prefer if we could get him on loan until the end of the season though, and then sign Cavani or someone in the summer. Or better yet - sign Cavani now!!
