who the [oops] is he going to sell, without making massive losses, to bring in the kind of money, that will allow him to sign the quality players that are needed, to give the team/club a chance of a top 4 finish this season.... ie

Roughly £75 million on Andy Carroll, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson. You couldn't make it up.

Is absolutely correct, with that money we could have had 3 properly good players and be a damn sight higher up than we are. Why buy British for the sake of it, if they're not good enough patriotism is pointless.

First things first Kuyt would be upwards of 6mil in value considering he's a seasoned pro and his value is based on his stamina which he'll never lose.

I do think Kenny has money but it's all about spending wisely, after the signings in the summer haven't faired well we need another enrique at the moment for upfront which is what Kenny is looking for thus the talks with inter over castignos and that serbian 17yr old striker.

I disagree about Henderson because i see him becoming a class act when he has played with gerrard for a few seasons and Carroll is a good player but not in this team and downing has been [oops] which i thought was the more guaranteed signing of working out. Unfortunately I don't see any strikers doing well in this team we are far to slow and predictable.

Well the rules that will kick in (6+5 and not sure when) we had to buy British! Plus Henderson and Carroll have been put under a lot of pressure! Time is needed and ok yes Carroll has a had a year, but only 4 months with the new team!

If KD sorts the midfield out ie i think he needs two quality players ie right winger, centre mid, then i believe our strikers will start scoring, i wud give carroll n bellamy a 5/6 match run out together.

problem is not our strikers, its our midfield which lacks pace, vision, goals, quality service to our strikers.
