Sadder still, I have a feeling other clubs will be tracking the contract negotations at the Liberty rather closely.

All good things come to an end. If I were running UTD, I'd look to Rodgers to replace Ferguson - immediately.

I don't know waht the odds are on Rodgers joining another, much bigger club by the end of 2012 but they must be getting shorter every day.

Definitely one for the future - with proven experience in the prem.

my god!!! it was this kind of talk which got us Hodgson. There was even a scramble for Owen Coyle as well when Roy was looking into the abyss.
we have a great manager and coaching staff who have won leagues and cups, why would we pass to a novice who has had 21gammes in the premiership????

bizarre!!!

Out of Dalglish and Rodgers, who is doing the best at the moment - take into account the amount of time in the top flight, their experience, the size of the club and the money they have spent, the performance vs expectation.....
Who's fans are happiest?
Which team is playing good football?
Which team is under acheiveing?
Which team is over achieving?

Just because Kenny had a good record as a manager 16 or 17 years ago, that is no reason to stick by him blindly. And just because Rodgers only has half a season in the prem under his belt that is no reason to right him off - don't forget that kenny signed carroll on the back of one half season......

Dalglish is better

we are higher in the league and in a semi of a cup 1nil up, this is better than Rodgers

as far as I am aware points, trophies or anything else are not given out because you spent less or are a smaller club. Also their fans are happier because they are not in the bottom 3 and have not been in the top flight since the 80's, compare us to someone else?

lets say Chelsea and Arsenal for example - Chelsea have spent more than us recently and have the worst points total in 5/6 years at this stage. Same for Arsenal, more defeats at this stage than any other year many can remember - pre 98 I believe.

Niether are in a cup semi, although both are in the FA Cup and Champs league.

Oh we also beat them both at home this season, Chelsea twice.

ask me another one

So, if it's simply down to league position and the premiership is widely reagrded as the strongest league, does that mean you think that mancini is the best manager in the world????

we'll yes it is(what Mancini or best in the world has to do with I don't no). The manager and the team will be judged on where they finishe and what they wins, always has been always will be. Currently we are doing ok.

Certainly could do better but hardly the disaster as you would make us believe, we are on the verge of a final for the first time in 5years and sit just outside the top 4. We have not conceeded many goals or lost many games. BUT we need to improve, slagging off players and manager who have helped achieve this seems a little ridiculous to me.

then to recommend a manager(rodgers) who in comparison has had a worse season than we are having borders on the bizarre.
Stick to the facts and you will see we are doing ok. At the match on Sat, the general consensus was the same.

I'm not slagging off anybody.

However, Swansea's team looks more like it to me and it couldn't have cost anywhere near ours to build. There are limited conclusions once you've agreed the facts.

You have to say that the way Swansea have set about their work since joining the prem is very impressive. They should stay up and they are a real handful for most teams.

If our signings were showing more promise, if there was more attacking guile on show there'd be less reason to switch.

there's a chasm of difference between playing for/ being swansea and playing for liverpool. swansea have zero expectation surrounding them. i guarantee if you took that same squad and manager and put them out in liverpool shirts next week they'd shiit themselves.

Going to bring this back to the beginning as we are asking for the head of KD!! NOT MYSELF!!!

BUT who the hell is out there to continue what he has started!

PLUS Hendo will be a good player for us! He reminds me a little like LUCAS and look how much everyone slagged himself!

I would take the feller at Dortmund, Rogers at Swansea or Paul Lambert at Norwich any would be better than what we have and after tonights performance I would even have Roy Hodgson back.

What about any ex-liverpool players? Who would you think would be a good manager??

I think Rodgers and Halloway would be interesting! I know we would be playing flowing football!
