i dont think kenny will get the sack.but it wouldnt suprise me if he stepped down at the end of the season if we havent finished fourth or fallen way short of doing so. i also wouldnt be a shock to me if the club were to re-employ Rafa.mainly because theres not alot of managers out there who could do the job,but also because he's still living localy and knows the club. i'm not saying this is what i want to happen i can just see it happening. i cant see him stepping down

For a guy who was out for so long to come back in like he has is still a fabulous achievement. Not many could do as well after such a break. Not sure I would want Benitez back as there would never be a plan B for those games we are drawing at the moment and like under Hodgson our away record would not be as good.
With the move the club has made over Gerrard in the last week it looks like they are trying to build a dynasty of club men who will see us through the next 20 years. Carragher will be the next as he has been mentioned by many in the press as a potential future England manager. Not many out there been given a similar label that are still playing. Not even your Ferdinands Beckhams or Scholes get that recognition.
I could see someone like Benitez coming in soon to help take this to the next level with the future in mind because even if we got 4th this season the likes of Carroll, Downing, Adam, Henderson are not ready for CL football and it could get embarrassing. A Europa league experience to cut their teeth would help.
It looks quite clear that Carragher and Gerrard are going to have a big future after playing days are over. But both are too young now and the day that one steps into the hot seat is still probably a good 3 or 4 years away. It is asking a lot to ask any big name of note to come in now in the knowledge that they themselves will not be a part of any long term plan. So I think it is reasonable that Benitez comes back in next season in some capacity before he eventually realises his ambition to manage his country.

I think Mourinho would jump at the chance. But I also like the Germany manager, Lowe.

Would love to see Mourinho at Anfield.
What makes you think he would jump at the chance? We don't have an open cheque book and with FFP coming in he would struggle with the current team.
He has had it easy at every club and I will not class him as one if the best until he does it with a budget.

What about getting some older players who are in learning mode to the management.
The likes of Hyppia and Hamann would be great to have in the bootroom! THen with Stevie and Jamie getting to grips too quick

Surely they haven't acted as bad as our current crop. Ones out for abusing an opponent and giving the middle finger to the crowd. And another got arrested 3 days before a semi for hitting a woman in a nightclub!

He wants the United job and has probably been tapped up for it.
I can't see him coming to us tbh.
