Firstly it sickens me that our Target is 4 th place but so be it....as I write we are 5 points off possibly 6 tomorrow if arsenal win. Unfortunately I cant see us gaining 7 points back (to be clear of both London clubs as our gd is soon poor) by the end of the season. I thought it was do-able, a couple of games ago we were joint 4th. Maybe its a blessing, Tbh playing as we are we could be embarrassed by teams playing at the top table....it seems that were not going to buy our way out of this 5,6,7 place mediocrity so we'll have to wait for all our "talent" to come through....fast forward 3-5 years please......

Just seen blackburn have scored 8 goals more than us this season thats shocking

I am sure we will be a force after 3 - 5 years of time. Mr. Henry will make sure that happens. He wanted to build a team for future and so the buying in of all those youngsters. He wanted us to be in champions league next year so can fund ourselves with the revenue from champions league. So he was ready to spend 100 million last summer. But what did we do/ spent it on caroll, henderson, downing. And ffs we let both meireles and aquilani leave whou are far better than those 3 and would have scored a few goals. Althought i don't say call is a bad buy but kenny is making sure he doesn't succeed by not playing to his strengths.

Not knocking Carroll, thought he really played for the team against city but in a defensive line up like today we need another option. I thought with the return of Gerrard service to Carroll would improve but it really hasn't yet, Carroll needs to be an option but not the only one.

I thought with the return of Gerrard service to Carroll would improve but it really hasn't yet, Carroll needs to be an option but not the only one. I am not a Carroll fan but we are not playing to his strenghths

The thing I don't really understand is how we go from scoring so many goals when he took over last season, to what's happening this.
Last season: 34 goals in 18 prem games.
This season: 24 goals in 21 prem games.
This tells me 4 things.
1) The signings he has brought in aren't good enough.
2) He should of splashed out a little more to keep Raul.
3) that we need to play the team we did last season to win.
4) that maybe he should stitch with similar tactics to last season.
