Hi, I wonder if anyone could offer some advice please? My wife ordered tickets for tomorrows game from a website. They arrived today and instead of tickets we have received 2 membership cards which we have been told to swipe at the turnstiles. It says on the cards only to be used by the card owner but the info that came through recommends that we just say that we are borrowing them from a friend. We are then supposed to meet the bloke from the website to give him the tickets back after the game.
This sounds dodgy and I'm pi$$ed off that we obviously haven't received the tickets we thought we were buying, especially as I live 400 miles away from the ground.
Any thoughts please??

Are the membership cards season tickets, that the only thing I can think of, cause for season tickets you just scan the card at the turnstile and they let you in no ID required.

It just says Liverpool Football Club Members card on the front with a person name in the bottom left hand corner and a card number.

Ben - As well as Liverpool Football Club, Members Card, does it have Name, Card No, Issue, Status, Stand, Turnstile, Block, Row & Seat information on the card? If so it is a season ticket.

I've used other peoples members cards to get in, just swipe it and nothing else needed to get in. They will have to have told you the seat numbers for you to find your seats but that's it.

Assuming they've paid for the game you'll get in no problem

It has a name and card and issue number but nothing else. We have been provided with the turnstile, block, row and seat numbers as Aotea mentioned on a separate piece of paper.

So hopefully that will be ok then? Do they just gain membership and then they purchase the tickets which are then loaded onto the card?

Just hope they don't notice that it says Mr on the card my wife will be using

Its def not a season ticket. I looked on the official lfc site and it is just a membership card like they have pictured on there. I think the membership gives you priority for some tickets so I'm hoping the ticket for tomorrows game has been bought and loaded onto the card.

Ben they never check who you are you just swipe and in you go. Push it in once dont muck about with it because if it double swipes it locks out and its a pain in the butt then as you have to go to ticket office and thats something I would wish on nobody. Just push it in the slot let it buzz and remove. Enjoy the game matey.

Will be no problem mate just as stan said just insert the card and it will unlock the gate just go to the right block which it will say on the other piece of paper with the seat number if anybody comes up to you just show them the piece of paper will be fine mate enjoy the game and if its your first you will love it just hope for a good result

did you get an e mail or text with you seat number and row on you m ust have that .
