So it seems like all this Wilfried Zaha stuff is nonsense but that's not the reason I am posting this. How many of you think that perhaps the player we could loan from Inter is Diego Milito. He isn't getting game time there, he is a goal scorer and he would suit our system as he works best as a lone striker. I Know he s quite old now, but as a loan it makes sense. It's a quick fix, gets him off Inters wage bill and opens up a non-EU spot for perhaps Tevez or someone, he could get goals for us, he wouldn't cost us much and he would be a tenporary fix for a temporary situation. This deal makes sense to me, I just wonder whether there is something that I am missing?

The Zaha thing has been going around for a long time. Possibly the answer when Kuyt moves on. Lots of clubs linked with him. About 6 months ago it was £5m but Palace have been a bit clever getting him to sign a long contract in the knowledge they can turn it into an auction. Everybody talking about £10m now. Very pacy and will cause trouble for a lot of teams.

I would guess we will be straight in for him if Palace get beat in the semi final. If Palace get through we could buy him and loan back but then he would not be able to play against us if we got to the final as well.

I think you are right. We need a replacement for Lucas but anyone who comes in would only surely be a loan as Spearing is improving and Lucas will be back next season.

Suarez will be half way through his ban after tomorrow and Gerrard has 3 in 3 since his return. Only 2 of the remaining ban will be league games. So any striker at this time of year will be a loan thing. If we get an offer for Kuyt we must take it because come the summer he will be worth that much less as time catches up with him. I also think that once Arsenal get involved in the CL again that their league form will suffer. They are up where they are because they beat the sides we draw against. Chelsea are not going to finish top 4 so we may sneak it. We don't need to gamble £30m on players that will not improve the team long term. We may have to pay over the odds for someone like Zaha but that would be a long term signing.

From what I have read, we have looked at him quite intensly however the general consensus amongst the scouts and manager is that he is definately lacking the final touch or final ball and for that reason we have turned our atentions elsewhere.

Zaha is only 19 but would get into our 1st team already I recon.
