i did say no British , if you spend 20-35m on foreign players you will get talents like Aguero, Fabregas, Sanchez or another Suarez.

with a budget of 80-100m we can get Gotze, Erickson, Lucas Moira, and a top striker

this is not FIFA 12. Wages, wages , wages!!!!

City pay in excess of 200k per week, Suarez was 65k and Carroll 50k(from the Echo at the time). Torres wages at Chelseas are 140-150k up on his LFC salary of about 110k.

5 years of Suarez 16.9mil
5years of Torres 36.4 - 39mil

Remember Aguero nearer 200k - so 52.4million in wages alone over his contract. We are no where near the same league to compete.

There are very few players that can do what Suarez can do. In the prem there isn't anyone as tricky as him. There are players as good or better such as Aguero, Tevez and Rooney (maybe). But seriously, who else?

In other leagues the only players that I can think of that are as tricky (in there own way) are Villa, Messi, Sanchez, Ronaldo, Di Maria, Kaka, Hulk, Cavani, Robben, Ibrahimovic, Forlan, and Ribery. But seriously how many other players can create like Suarez can?

I've always backed carrol to (hopefully) come good but I wonder when enough is enough. Very poor tonight, maybe you can say he's still young, or we're not playing to suit his style, but surely we can't keep him for potential if there's the possibility to bring someone better in.

I think we might see him go in the summer. He does need a run of games and better service but that could lose us a champs league place if his form keeps up. Maybe suarez being out will be his chance at a run then kenny will probably know what he's gonna do. Wonder what Henry's thoughts are on a sizeable potential lost.

Fully agree with CP, especially concerning summer buys. You can't compare player prices, there's often several other factors involved.

Luckily our Uncle Roman helped pay for Carroll

feel a bit for andy

we just lob the ball to him surrounded by 4 defenders and expect him to score every time

I don't think he's a bad player, though his touch is poor and doesn't have any composure in front of goal, my point being we need to play to his strengths now or cut our losses and get someone who suits our style of play.

Liverpool are Inter Castaignos as Dalglish targets loan move for Dutch teenager

Liverpool are understood to be interested in Inter Milan striker Luc Castaignos on a possible loan.
Kenny Dalglish may have to put most of his transfer budget into signing a defensive midfielder and is looking for extra cover up front.
Dutchman Castaignos, 19, has also been linked with Everton and Tottenham. He signed for Inter from Feyenoord in the summer and they were initially reluctant to let him out on loan.

He should have scored tonight in the 8th minute and had he been a better finisher then he would have.....Has a canon left foot and good with his head but unfortunately can't seem to get onto the end of them at the moment. He did score a nice goal against Oldham though!

Well, all that I have heard for sure is that it is a player from Inter. However there have been many rumours that the player in question is South American. This could point to Coutinho from Inter who we were interested in before but it could also point to another player, from another Inter we have shown interest in! Think about it. Leandro Damiao is south American and plays for internazionale from Brazil. Perhaps it could be him, I know many top clubs are after him. I think he could be a great buy. The secrecy behind it is what I's getting me excited and leading me to believe it could be Damiao. The source in question has never been so secretive about our transfer dealings before and perhaps that is because we don't want other clubs getting involved. I don't think we would be this secretive if it was Coutinho or Castagnios. What do you think, could it be Damiao?
