the game and the fa have gone mad.it was never a sending off he wasnt anywhere near the player.bloody good tackle.i know we will benefit from this but its a joke really.bartons was never a sending off either.what baffles me the most is that the fa are atching replays of these incidents and still finding them guilty.its a joke. Didn't actually see scum bag Barton's sending off, but he and others were most vociferous in his defence.

Well I'm no fan of the FA but on this one they are just upholding the rule, i.e. if your studs are showing and you're airborne and not in control of your body its a red card offense. Since he was clearly airborne he couldn't be in control of his body and his studs were clearly showing, so the FA didn't have any option but to uphold the Ref's decision. Anyway it suits us fine as it weakens City's defense and we might nick one or two off them.

It is the inconsistencies which are the problem,Spearings tackle got red,Lampards far worse tackle got yellow,Bartons non head butt got red,Rooneys elbow last year was completely ignored,That kind of record gets people wound up.

it seems the FA are unwilling to recind a card at the moment. Most that have been iffy at best (Spearing, Barton and Kompany) all upheld. I suppose they are trying to keep players safe and Kompany could have broken legs if he got it slightly wrong

Legs slightly spread out, stopped the ball with his right leg, manoeuvred upwards with his left, feet not aimed at Nani’s legs at all. Even Nani did not complain. Maybe it looked more dangerous than it was, intended or not.

Not even a card in my opinion...think he was very unlucky! But i'm no expert, it's just y opinion!

I am delighted, one less player to worry about. Toure is gone too so their defence could be rocked a bit.
Lets take advantage whether it was a red or not.
