Messi gets a lot of attention, for good reason, the guys amazing. But I personally thought Ronaldo was better. I just dont get this 'best player that has ever lived' crap. Sure, Messi is one of the best, but I though Ronaldo and even Ronaldinho to an extent were as good or better.

Sure, Messi is one of the best, but I though Ronaldo and even Ronaldinho to an extent were as good or better. dont agree with any of that. ronaldino probably had better skills but he wasnt as good. ronaldo is very good but not on the same level. i see it as three different levels of world class at the mow level 1 - messi level 2 - ronaldo level 3 - rest of the other world class players eg iniesta ( gerrard a few years back )

Nope sorry, Messi has a long long way to go. He is a great player but he has never surpassed the likes of Ronaldinho, Zidane, Ronaldo etc. Lets just wait and see if he can sustain it for 15/20 years like the past greats have.

Just so you know, I was talking about the brazilian Ronaldo. And I think he wasw better than Messi. His runs were deadly.

Yeah, CR7 is a great athlete. And I would take him any day of the week. But the old Ronaldo is in another world and in my opinion, better than Messi, because he did it on every stage.
I think CR7 will come back down to earth one day, because he will never be as good as Messi, and sooner or later he'll realise that.
