Why aren't we trying to loan more players out to clubs in the prem, or in the the first devision in other countries?
I mean it's nice to have a good reserve team, but why aren't we loaning more of out potentual stars out?
The only young players we've loaned to decent clubs Pacheco and to a point Wilson.
I looked at other teams and they have more of their young players loaned out to good clubs.
Chelsea Patrick van Aanholt at Wigan Athletic Jeffrey Bruma at Hamburger SV Thibaut Courtois at Atlético Madrid Ulises Dávila at Vitesse Tomáš Kalas at Vitesse
United Ritchie De Laet at Norwich City Federico Macheda at Queens Park Rangers Joshua King at Borussia Mönchengladbach
City Vladimír Weiss at Espanyol Dedryck Boyata at Bolton Wanderers Abdisalam Ibrahim at N.E.C
Arsenal Emmanuel Frimpong at Wolverhampton Wanderers Carlos Vela at Real Sociedad Kyle Bartley at Rangers Henri Lansbury at West Ham United
Any thoughts?
Dedryck Boyata (at Bolton Wanderers

Aswell as Pacheco, we've also loaned out Shelvey (before he was recalled), Amoo, Darby, Gulacsi (who was also just recalled due to injury), Nathan Eccleston was also out on loan earlier in the season, and then of course there are Joe Cole and Alberto Aquilani (albeit those 2 on different sort of loans).
All in all though, that's 8 players who are or were out on loan so far this season. I think we may see a couple more going out on loan before the end of the month. I'd expect Eccleston and Gulacsi (if his injury isn't too severe) to go back out, and probably Shelvey again if we sign a CM.

my view on loans is that each club has a squad of 25 and is only allowed to loan out players under 21. If you do loan out a player over this age he should not be allowed to be in your league and also still be considered part of your squad and no subsidy on wages. This would certainly stop the big spending clubs like city having 40players on their books and also stop top players being in other sides.
far better than any fair play type system. City could then only have 25 top players, just like everyone else.

I'm talking about loaning players out to top flight clubs, like the prem etc. Not to the championship or league one. United and Chelsea seem to do it quite a lot, but apart from Pacheco, we don't. Shelvey and Wilson are good enough to go to a prem team on loan surely? And then there's Flanno, surely he could be loaned out to a prem team?

Yeah I'd agree with loaning out Coates as long as we had the option to recall him in case of injuries
