One little scratch to Agger and he could well be on his holiday again for a few months so why not? Carra is old and Coates has zero experience, I still would love to see him play but going for Cahill seems like a right move for me. One little injury and we will be back to that horrible defence.

There seems to be more and more rumours regarding us going in for darren bent. I'm predicting that a lot of people wouldn't be best pleased if this were true but if we could get him for around £20m I'd conisder it to be good business. One thing that he guarantees is goals; one thing that we can't do for love nor money...is score goals. Surely he's the most likely option and with Kenny's preference for british players I'd be surprised if we weren't interested. In an ideal world Villa would want Carroll in part exchange but I can't see them being interested in him.

Why Don't we bring Aquilani back? At least let's get some money for him in the summer. Kuyt too, though it pains me to say it. A few sales and equal investment should be looking good for next season.

Cahill's a no brainer at that price.

We cannot bring Aquilani back nor should we,if he plays enough games for Milan then they have to sign him at the end of the season.

Dirk Kuyt is worth about 3-5million only and looks to be a liability now,probably best for both parties if he moves on.

If Kuyt were to leave he would go to Holland, so why not a swap plus money deal for Eriksen or the De Jong guy.

Thing is, we aren't after Chaill and rightfully so...we also have Martin Kelly who can play as a cb. Cahill is demanding stupid wages and tbh he seems like a bit of a stuck up [oops] so I say no thanks.

Why do you think he would go to Holland? Surely he would go where he gets offered the highest wages...Perhaps Turkey, Germany or Holland...

Yes there is....there is a clause that says if Aquilani plays (let's say) 25 games during the season for them, they then must buy him at a pre arranged fee...However if he ends up playing only 24 matches, they owe us nothing...I don't expect Aquilani to get sold for more than 8 million.
