as regards handing in transfer requests, do a lot of clubs not make or refuse to sell their players unless they hand one in so as to avoid paying them a loyalty fee or something similar? yes but if a player don't wanna leave why would you hand in a transfer request and end up without that fee? no one would do that. torres wanted to leave the club, no one forced him imo.. I wouldn't defend him and personally i don't want him back at the club. There seemed too big a break in the dressing room relationship for him to just slot back in seamlessly and he seems a shadow of the player he once was. He would also still demand high wages I'm guessing and the money would be better spent elsewhere

Apparently skybet have us as favourites to resign Torres, at 3/1 at the moment. I don't believe it to be honest however we are in need of a goalscorer and I did read that apparently, if we could get him at a reasonable price Kenny does think he could get the lad firing again. I don't know what to say. I am really in 2 minds about this one...However if we could get him for lets say 20 million, that would mean that we got Carroll and Torres for a combined total of 5 million. If kenny did get him firing again he could then be sold on for another huge profit.
Personally I think he will end up at Atletico or PSG tbh.

From what I hear, a certain lump sum of money has been made available to Kenny from when he took over for a marquee signing, a player that can make things happen and that we can get.However that player wasn't identified in the previous windows and the money is still available. Whether or not Kenny and Commolli have identified anyone yet I do not know but there ya go. Money is available for transfers and sooner or later we will have a big name "marquee signing" joining us.
