as regards handing in transfer requests, do a lot of clubs not make or refuse to sell their players unless they hand one in so as to avoid paying them a loyalty fee or something similar?

exactly. he made mistake and he knows it and probably regrets it big time.

i don't know if he wants to come back but he's been out in the press twice saying the lfc supporters doesn't know the truth about why he moved...why don't you tell us "the truth" then torres instead of talking sh*t in the press?

i think we need someone who is not young and susceptible to catching the lfc confidence bug. look at bellers, he' an old hand with a strong disposition and is a bag of confidence while others around him are still trying to find their feet. so perhaps a striker in the 27-28 year old capacity. we dont necessarily need someone who moves at the speed of light, jut someone who knows where to stand and knows how to find the net.

yes but if a player don't wanna leave why would you hand in a transfer request and end up without that fee? no one would do that.

torres wanted to leave the club, no one forced him imo..

Podolski would be good, however German players don't tend to leave Germany. Lucas Barrios looks a good player.
