What you have to understand is that the problems will always stem back to the manager, he carries the can for problems so Dalglish is always going to come under fire in postings same as when Hodgson was manager this time last year. When fans thought Roy Hodgson was the wrong man they spoke up quite angry and disapointed on this very form which was accepted, I just want people to allow me the same Courtesy to voice my displeasure at this man's appointment in the same way I respected yours against Hodgson, he is not then man for us and time will prove me right on this one.
What you claim to support and what you actually support are different, and that is the problem a lot of people have with you. For example, we know you don't support Dalglish, while the majority of folks on here do. Those of us that support the manager are branded as "blind faithers" (not your term, I know), when most people here look at the results we have under Kenny and realize that while he's not over-performed he's still on a par with Chelsea and Arsenal and very much in the running for 4th. Certainly he's made mistakes, but show me the perfect manager and I'll show you a man who's never managed a real football club.
The issue is that you "speculate" that Dalglish will fail as proof of your point of view, and state that those that support him do so on the basis of past glory. If anyone falls into the blind faither category it is people like you, faz and Stanley Park - you have blind faith that Dalglish will take us down the path of failure because he supposedly abandoned us to our fate by leaving us at the top of the league table and almost in the FA Cup final. Perhaps he will and perhaps he won't, but you have no more right to attack other supporters for having blind faith that Dalglish will succeed because your opinion is based on identical circumstances regarding the expectation of failure. You also forget that a lot of people have grown up in the last 20 years, and we now expect the manager to perform as well as his squad - you however still just expect him to fail.
We didn't support Hodgson, not so much because he was appointed ahead of Dalglish (though certainly there were elements that held this belief), but because Hodgson has won exactly zero trophies outside Scandanavia in the last 36 years - that's not the kind of pedigree we expect from LFC managers. That he then proceeded to produce Fulham football and relegation level results simply confirmed out worst suspicions. Dalglish by contrast is only marginally under-performing, and a lot of that can be put down to Gerrard's absence, both as a goal threat and as a leader. He's not without flaw is King Kenny, but he's not failed the club to the degree you suggest he has or apparently will.
Furthermore, your statement that Dalglish will fail and thereby prove you right is a pretty cowardly expectation, much like those who hated Benitez (who oddly enough are the same group of people). He will slip up, and then you will pounce, righteously proclaiming your magnificence even if it's taken several years and several trophies before the mistakes came. How you must hate to see us win things and keep pace with our season goals.
