I personaly think he's finished myself like, I still think he can do a decent job for us but I think the days of seeing the rampaging, full throttle days are well gone because his body cant stand it now. I think last nights game summed it up perfectly Gerrard came off the bench and when you put him next to Downing, Henderson, Carroll, Spearing and Adam he looks quite good which says it all about how rubbish our team is and how wasteful the manager was in his 12 month reign.

You could put Gerrard into any Midfield in Europe and he would look top drawer so to say you think he is finished and looked quite good is pure stupidity.

I agree the other players are average but that doesn't make Gerrard look quite good he looked a different class to them.

You could put a half fit Messi into our team and he would still look head and shoulders above everyone else, thats the point I am making of how poor the players we have in the team are. Steven Gerrard as much as people would like to think is no longer top draw I am afraid age and injuries not to mention carrying the team for so long as in playing with injuries e.t.c. has put paid to that.

Even Kuyt looked better and on the left side of midfield totally out of position. What Gerrard does is gives others the route to follow, the way to play and the leadership they need. Funny isn't it not having a leader because Man U looked rubbish without one and Chelsea without Lampard and Essien are the same. Interesting to see what will happen to Spurs without Parker if he is out injured.

Top 4 is more than possible. It is probable.

Stevie G is still heads and shoulders above everyone else. He knows where and when to run into the box. We are a different team when he plays well.

This year despite full of injuries has probably extended his career by a season or two. Now, he needs to quit the England scene and concentrate on LFC.

I dont think he will get into the team myself, the midfield berths are sewn up with Barry and Wiltshire who will be fit well in time, there Capello's favoured partnership now after Gerrard and Lampard flopping in SA, can see him being an impact sub myself.

I'd be happy with that if by some remote chance your right.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

I don't think so, Cappello will stick with Gerrard/Rooney/Lamps/Terry/Cole etc. he won't change the backbone. Believe me Wilshire will be the sub instead of gerrard.
