The FA is definitely slanted and went to a lot of trouble to take one player's comments over another's. I think this sets a really bad precedent where players can be banned on hearsay - and we'll now have the politics where the FA determines which player's word is worth more. In an incident where the players traded insults, thus both in the wrong, the FA should have adopted the simple stance of punishing them both, perhaps Suarez a game or two more for instigation. I'm not pleased to hear of Suarez's remarks but the fact that it's based on lip-reading of South American Spanish is laughable. The best we can hope for is a reduction of the original ban, which I feel is plausible. However, after our result yesterday, KK might feel that he can eat the ban and cope with other players. Not acceptable to me mate. A reduction of the ban would probably only be acceptable if a) It is for a lesser charge of inappropriate ungentlemanly conduct and b) Evra gets the same punishment for his part in it. The way it is dressed up is that there is only one offended party in this case.

their is so many things to appeal on i dont no where to start liverpool,s lawyers will be having a field day... WHAT A JOKE THE FA ARE, they tryed to make a point to sepp blatter but its gonna backfire on the fa badly and rightly so....

Lads and ladies, I agree report is as porous as a sieve and the inept fa fools have made a bad job of it, however were getting slammed from all angles, it'll be hard to fight.....

Having read a bit more of this report last night I am inclined to agree about your last comment. The FA have worded everything very carefully without really delving into what was causing this. Evra has clearly wound up Suarez who has more than wound up Evra. It is also very clear that Evra had a chip on his shoulder straight from the coin toss and this was simmering with him the whole game. The translation from Dutch/Spanish/English and back to Evrish is also an extremely grey area. There is also the inconsistency in the account that Suarez has given. This is the bit that the FA has seized upon and come up with the probability that Suarez meant his comments in a derisory manner. Of course Evra had a free ride here because he was not the one in the FA dock and his provoking of Suarez has gone without notice. Kuyt although a witness seems to have been dismissed as this suits the FA even though he speaks Dutch with Suarez. The FA have now put themselves in the dock for part two of this because it won't be an appeal from Suarez that puts the focus on them but what they will do if Terry is found guilty by a court. Surely the ban for him will have to be the same? The referee report is flimsy and does not address the issue as there is not much reference to the events at the time of the offence. Evra also had a word with the referee earlier in the game to complain about Downing going down when Evra had not touched him. I remember that incident well and it is a little gamesmanship that Evra employs to scare wingers. He puts his foot out there very early and then withdraws it. The winger has to make a decision on whether he can beat the man or risk a broken leg. I also remember being at the match a few years back when Evra took out Harry Kewell twice in the first 15 minutes. Both were bookable and he only got booked for the second one. He is a horrible player with a big chip on his shoulder which got a bit bigger after that Blackburn defeat. With all the evidence there to be picked over we can either fight it all the way or take the hit and accept the ban and fight the press and those who have called him racist. There is still the case of his name to be cleared and the woolyness of the report will be enough to beat the racist tag if not the ban.

the danger of the outcome of this is now a player can make an accusation with little or no evidence, and once he has the gift of the gab in front of the fa, it will be upheld. its open to abuse. or should i say further abuse. especially from evra.

We are living in a world that quite frankly has gone stark staring bonkers. Just reading today the road crossings in the UK that pedestrian’s use all have to be changed costing councils thousands at a time when cuts to care of old folk are talking place. The reason ? the green man that lights up when you press the button to cross is offensive to some self important jerk. So now all the signs in the UK have to be changed and the green man renamed to the green figure. You could not make this up if you tried could you? The Suarez thing is just part of this collective madness being caused by a few people who are making money out of it.
