Tell you what Ford, this weekend get yourself a set of footy boots, find a local footy team and play up front on your own and see how easy it is to pick up a long ball, get it under control, beat 4 defnders then either score or pass it too someone who's not there because they are not on the same wavelenght as you. When you've done that, reflect on how hard it was, throw into that some of the abuse that took from the opposition fans, multiply it by 20 and you may be close to how hard it is for a premiership player. Then and only then might you understand why people knock you when you post on here.

Bent was top scorer for spurs every season he was there.

I used to really rate Kuyt but i think he looked good last year when surrounded by a few duds. He is not a bad player BUT he is not what we need to take us forward IN My opinion

would LOVE Pato, but cant see him moving - would love to be proved wrong

but think we'll have a better chance of landing someone like Hazard or Cavani - that could be pushed towards the middle.

May sound a bit daft, but id also fancy someone like Owen back, okay hes past his best, but he puts chances away, and that to me is what we need, reliability infront of goal!.... again, couldnt see it happening but would love someone like that.

Great shout mate! I have been saying about Darren Bent for the last couple of months...

He is a realistic option and will score goals, plain and simple!

The only other realistic striker option I can think of is Podolski, the lad scores goals for fun and it can't hurt to have abit of German mentality in the team.. Plus maybe having him here would help us sign someone like Gotze in the Summer, who knows?

Odemwingie will be cheaper and just as good.

Odemwingie could do a job, I think Bent is more likely with the way our transfer policy is set up.

If we can spend 20million on Downing then I'm sure we could spend the same on Darren Bent.

Part of the problem with not scoring goals is not playing the right players in my opinion, Maxi, Bellamy, Suarez and Carroll should all be starting. Add Gerrard into the mix and there is goals in that team!

now i know theres alot of mention about Podolski - and personally i think he'd be great... but what about his strike partner Milivoje Novakovic - he has about the same scoring record as Podolski?

(never heard of him before about 2minutes ago admittedly)

anyone know anything more about the chap?
