But Gerrard is back now, so what should we do with him? Bench him with Suarez?
Funny!

Once Stevie is fully fit we will start smashing opponents .... only problem is, he is nearing the end of his career... hope we can get him to play out the rest of the season.

Hold your horses boy! Our captain is only 31 (32 in May). There is still a few good years in him if he cuts the cord with Mr Crapello.
All these international games that make him struggle with injuries. Remember when Crapello promised to play him just 30 minutes, but he ended up playing the entire game and got injured again?

[quote=fazakerley red 1]luis suarez is a very good player , but 1 league goal in 11 or 12 is a sorry return . It should appear abundantly clear that week in week out finisher he aint. Trouble is he has the selfishness of the finest of goal scorers and the majestic skills to slot in even Reina. An answer to that I have not.

Can't believe we have turned on Suarez already, blaming him for not scoring eough goals. The fact is, he plays up front on his own with no support, Who does he pass too??!!! who does he run off??!!, he's got to do it all himself creates something out of nothing which very rarely is coming off for him. I think Desh may have a point that he may be burnt out with the Copas in the summer then straight into a Premiership season. If Torres had stayed I think we would of seen the most dealiest strikeforce in europe evolving right infront of us. It has to be said tho' the same was happening to Torres the same way it's happening to Suarez and I see the same frustration in his face as i did in Torres.

Suarez is more a support striker a la Peter Beardsley not an out an out striker. He was bought to partner Torres who b*ggered off and we brouht in Carroll who is no damn good. Maybe we should have said no to Chelsea like Spurs did, they stood firm with Modric and look how that is working out. Torres and Suarez would have been an unbelievable combination. Suarez would be in exactly the same position with Torres as he is with Carroll, both are nowhere near good enough I don't agree at all Ford. Torres is world class even at Chelsea you can see his movement and skill. I know its not working out for him but you can see he is a footballer. Carroll I can see nothing at all. A motivated Torres and Suarez would have been awesome. It was not to be though not for footballing reasons though. Torres is finished he will never be the same player he was in his first two seasons with us, he cant even run properly now.

luis suarez is a very good player , but 1 league goal in 11 or 12 is a sorry return . I agree completely. On the topic of the thread and not your post, 21 goals in 18 games is a very sorry return, and if we're going to bench Suarez for not scoring enough, we'll have to bench the entire team. what are you on about i am pointing out the lack of goals and being the main striker and the cutting edge and he has got one goal in 11 or 12 games (QPR) his last league goals before that in the league was at goodison now if you think that is good enough then sadly liverpool are in more trouble than we are if the main striker not doing his job scoring goals is ok .

He is our best player, not his fault that the rest aren't up to his level, but what kind of bid would you sell him at... Personally I don't think we can afford to sell him ...in saying that I'd take upwards of 60 million for him ( and he'd be mad not to leave England given how badly he's being treated )
