i don't see any reason why we should be making any major changes compared to the villa game. maybe maxi for downing... Disagree about downing. wigan lack pace at center back. Think we need as much pace as possible. Maybe maxi for jonjo? I'd put out same team and make changes for next home game.

It was good for Jonjo to get a run out against a weakened Villa but we need to change it a bit against Wigan. Basically I think we will win no matter who we select, but with one exception, unfortunately Carroll must be left on the bench (at best). Our pass and move football is creating lots of chances, when he plays the amount of chances drop and the quality of those chances also drop. Maxi instead of JJ for me and if Saurez is unavailable then Bellamy and Kuyt upfront.

There are no easy wins in the PL . I've repeated that mantra four or five times this season...oh and least we forget, there are no easy wins in the PL, THERE ARE NO EASY WINS IN THE PL. I know some of you guys are young, but thats no excuse for being stupid. THERE ARE NO EASY WINS IN THE PL.

Personally I thought the Aston villa game was a terible. Whether it was because we had already scored or the teams shape but we didn't really have many chances on goal from open play except from some skills from suarez (who looked like he was on his own up front with no support). I hope we ain't going to do that again.

I'd put out same team and make changes for next home game. the problem with downing is that he's lacking a bit of confidence. yes he's got pace but he's not confident enough at the moment to use it in the right way. maxi on the other hand should be filled with confidence and i'd rather see him start the game. i also want shelvey to stay in the starting XI
