So, as another transfer window approaches the rumours are getting more and more numerous. This thread is intended to discuss transfer rumours, but please, let's try and stay away from the LFC to sign Messi or Hazard rumours. Let's keep this thread realistic. I will start off by adding 2 rumours published on the BBC site.

Liverpool are keeping a close eye on Mesut Ozil's situation at Real Madrid after Jose Mourinho warned the Germany midfielder he will be sold in the summer if his performances do not improve.

Liverpool are monitoring PSV Eindhoven pair Kevin Strootman and Georginio Wijnaldum ahead of a potential £22m bid to sign the duo.

Liverpool to sign Messi and Hazard for free in the Jan window.

On a serious note though, players I've read about is linked to today are:

Wilfried Zaha - the young striker at Crystal Palace who we've constantly been linked with

Neil Mellor - this is one of the sillier rumours i've heard. Can't see on any level why we'd want to bring him back, even on a short term deal. No way.

Cheik Tiote - Can't see Newcastle letting him go half way through the season - yeah, would have said the same about Andy Carroll last year, but they won't be offered £35m for Tiote!

Lassana Diarra - Linked again with a short term loan deal from Real Madrid

Tom Huddlestone Once again, I hope this link is BS. I personally have no interest in us signing him whatsoever.

None of those links strike me as being particularly reliable or even exciting. It is only mid December though, in fairness..

Well, from what I hear, the money that we would offer for Tiote, if the rumours are true is around 25 million....There is no chance of Diarra as he is playing regularly and really well for madrid....

On a positive, We could expect a cameo from Gerrard within the next 2 weeks.
