Tomorrow's Daily Mail back page: Okay, it's 'paper talk'. But it seriously raises the question... Torres. £20m. Would you??

Buy Buy Buy !!!
Top player the best striker we have had in my view apart from Fowler at his best. I know this will get a few going but I would put him ahead of Rush. £20m sounds ok but I dont think he would come back.

That's sums the little runt up nicely for me thank you. Add to that that he hasn't been any good as a player for the last 2 years either, and the answer to anyone but a mad man HAS to be, no chance! Why would Chelski consider getting shut of him if he was any good ey? He's a 'has been' that never 'will be' ever again.

Hard to judge him against Rushie because of the difference in the length of their stints... then again, Rushie left for a season before returning... I still have a lot of bitterness towards Nando, but that's because like most other fans, I loved him so much, and the way he left hurt a lot. I don't think he would come back either Stanley, but I wouldn't be convinced - stranger things have happened. Still, if he did return, it would be one of the most sensational moves I've ever seen.

Why would Chelski consider getting shut of him if he was any good ey? He's a 'has been' that never 'will be' ever again. He looks like a man who left his heart in Liverpool, Growls. He's never looked happy playing for Chelsea, like he looked for the first couple of years for us. I don't disagree with what you've said about his character. If he DID come back, there would have to be some serious grovelling and apologies to the fans. For that reason (amongst others), I dunno if I could see it happening. It has to be said though, that even when he was playing for us and sulking towards the end, he was still banging in the goals - and isn't that exactly what we need right now?

i think its possible. he can easily say his reason for leaving was the last set of owners. it would be a real gamble, but a gamble i would be willing to take. if we can get 16 million for carroll, it would only be 4 million for torres. actually, we would probably get him for less.
torres or carroll, you have to go with torres.
