Why is everybody so negative? This is not the Liverpool way. I would like to just mention also, it could be a lot worse.... this time last year in relegation zone with Hodgson as manager.....

But to be fair Faz, we had played 4 games more, and were futher behind the 4th place spot than we are now.

So we are doing much better.

Yeah, I think we're bound to end up getting more points over the next 3 or 4 games. We have got an easy run coming up (easy in theory anyway) and it would be a good time for us to get more ruthless, that's for sure.

Had we invested properly in the striker and midfield we would be top 4 now not playing better and improving. If you recall our big cheese Mr Henry said he wants 4th place this season or else. I don't recall the "I would like to play better and improve" statement. I must have missed that.

Too much impatience. We all want success TODAY.

Let's all cast our minds back a couple of years to our new injured hero that EVERYONE is now raving about,(justifiably) Lucas ey, when the vast majority of supporters wouldn't have p1ssed on him if he was on fire. whistle

Let's just chill out a bit I say.

Enjoy each game in isolation... the anticipation before the game, the game itself and the analysis thereafter. Once done, move on to the next game.

All this talk of a must win game, Kenny no better than Roy, Caroll is crap etc.... it's all too negative. It'll only serve to create pressure, division, disappointment. too much of it and it becomes a self fullfilling prophecy. It's not good for us as supporters as it expends the wrong kind of energy, affects our mood and spoils our time.

So my approach is to take each game at a time:

- If we win - GREAT. If not, never mind - better luck next time.

- If a player does well - GREAT! If he underperfroms, not to worry - keep supporting him and he'll come good.

- If the manager picks the wrong team (which I think he did against Fulham) - no problem, hopefully he'll learn next game.

Of course we can look at a string of forthcoming fixtures and look forward to what might be if we bag a haul of points etc., but in terms of reaching conclusions re: the manager or underperforming players i suggest we leave that 'till after the season finishes (or 'till we're out of the running)

In the meantime, looking forward to today's home game on a bright, sunny december afternoon.
