Let's just chill out a bit I say.
Enjoy each game in isolation... the anticipation before the game, the game itself and the analysis thereafter. Once done, move on to the next game.
All this talk of a must win game, Kenny no better than Roy, Caroll is crap etc.... it's all too negative. It'll only serve to create pressure, division, disappointment. too much of it and it becomes a self fullfilling prophecy. It's not good for us as supporters as it expends the wrong kind of energy, affects our mood and spoils our time.
So my approach is to take each game at a time:
- If we win - GREAT. If not, never mind - better luck next time.
- If a player does well - GREAT! If he underperfroms, not to worry - keep supporting him and he'll come good.
- If the manager picks the wrong team (which I think he did against Fulham) - no problem, hopefully he'll learn next game.
Of course we can look at a string of forthcoming fixtures and look forward to what might be if we bag a haul of points etc., but in terms of reaching conclusions re: the manager or underperforming players i suggest we leave that 'till after the season finishes (or 'till we're out of the running)
In the meantime, looking forward to today's home game on a bright, sunny december afternoon.
