It would be interesting to know the effect of his almost 12-month stint at Chelsea has had on him

Does he still hate Liverpool, think they are a sh*t team incapable of winning anything as he did back in January, or does he look back on his days as the top Premership marksman with fondness and recognise what a mistake he made in joining Chelsea

We simply don't know although if he had any feelings for his old club he's unlikely still to have them after the much deserved abuse he got from away fans during the 3 games we've played at Chelsea since (all 3 of wbich we've won of course)

Why are we talking anbout Torres anyway - we loved him, he hated us and left - that shpuld really be the end of story

That his performances at Chelsea have failed to live up to a £5m billing, let alone his £50m one is purely a sidenote, albeit a hilarious one

I just can't wait for the Liverpool v Chelsea fixture where our fans have trheir first opportunity to show him what they really think of him - and personally I hope it makes the reception Manchester United's Michael Owen got seem understated

He was eager to come back before going to Man Ure, but Rafa wasn't having it. I think Kenny would be less stubborn about the idea of that than Rafa. Whether he'd be interested in him or not is another matter.
dont be silly, why would we want to have a has be back for?

Just playing devil's advocate to see how others feel about Owen. Personally I don't think i'd ever want him back - but that's mostly to do with the extent of betrayal I feel from him. I forgave him for leaving us, forgave him for bottling a return and going to the barcodes, but I don't think I can forgive him for not only joining the Mancs, but for having his tongue so far up their arses it's unreal.

I don't agree he's lost it though. On the occasions he plays for United, he usually comes up with the goods, and is stil la lethal finisher - which is exactly what we're missing at the moment, don't forget.

I'll be very interested to see what sort of reception he gets. I was a bit surprised to see him get such a hostile reception in the games this season from the visiting LFC fans. Not because I think he doesn't deserve it, but because I thought that maybe some would have softened towards him by now.

Which is why it'll be interesting to see if he gets a really bad reaction when finally returning to Anfield. Can't wait for that game. When Owen returned in a Liverpool shirt for Carra's testamonial he got a mixed reaction. Some booed, but some gave him a good reception.

If Torres gets a really bad reaction from a packed Anfield i'd say he could be fairly taken aback.

When he joined United I thought, what a little cnut, then I realised that I didn't actually give a sh1t,don't blame him for going there but don't think Liverpool should even contemplate taking him back, purely for footballing reasons.

I personally don't think he'd give a sh*t

He hated the club - which was epitomised by most of his effortless performances before he was sold last season

Any player - especially one idolised as much as Torres was here - the club which effectively made him arguably the most dangerous striker in Europe - knows that their in for a rough ride from the fans when you stick two fingers up at them in the manner Torres did

He made his bed - and I'm sure the undeserved pay cheque he gets from his jew-baiting new club more than makes up for any hurt feelings - not that he necessarily feels any in the first place

He deserves a ribbing just as big as that delivered to Michael Owen - if not bigger

Hate them as we all do, I somply don't differentiate betyween Man Utd and Chelsea - they are both the scum of the footballing world

But I don't understand the Torres obsession still

Of course I love it as much as the next LFC fan than he's gone from being one of the most feared strikers in the world to a walking joke - but the manner of his departure and the satisfaction he seemed to have got from it surely should mean that even if he wanted to come back (and i'm 99% certain he doesn't) he wouldn't be welcome

I agree with you for the best part, but I don't think he got the satisfaction from it that you're making out, and I certainly don't think that he "hates" the club. I think it's just a case of him looking out for number one, and not having the backbone to go about things in the right way and say how he really feels/felt.
