according to koptalk, were planning a swoop for adebayor..whats everyones opinion on that? and hasn't johnson just signed a contract extension with city?

We need to look elsewhere, everyone is just looking at obvious names which are almost impossible to get. There is huge talent in french league, championship we just need to scout them out like everyone else is doing.

Adeboyer is a messer (which the mgmt could deal with), BUT proven and doing the job with spurs, could be quite a tactical acquisition also, make us very very dangerous and weaken spurs at the same time...

We definately need someone up top, short term in January we could go for

Defoe - unlikely Spurs will let him go
Adebayor - if it's only a loan till January City could sell to us to screw Spurs chances up in the league
Anelka - Could still be good for getting the goals we need


Failing that if we decide to go for the high profile buy then it needs to be form the German/Spanish league - Cavani, Gotze, Villa, Marin would all be good but I think it will depend on our league positon in January and the likelihood of CL football.

As for Torres i'd have him back tomorrow, he's not happy at Chelsea and he is still one of the best strikers in the Premier League
