Right, before anyone tries to suggest I'm having a go.....I'm not - I'm just a bit concerned about Suarez. For someone who settled almost immediately into english football, plays for a high profile team and seems to have chance after chance after chance in each game.....his goal return is a little disappointing. Whilst he's been our best player in nearly every game for the last 11 months I think that the reason we aren't doing so well is that we don't have a goal poacher to play with him. I'd say keep Carroll for the time being as a 'plan B' but we need to invest a real goal scorer if we want any chance of getting into the CL. LS's ratio is that of a support striker yet he is our main (only!) goal threat. For all of Suarez's skill and craft it doesn't look like he'll be giving us the kind of return he enjoyed in Holland.

Drop Carroll to the bench, bring up Bellamy or Kuyt alongside him and believe me the problem will be solved. Both Kuyt and Bellamy will be happy to take those easy chances that Carroll and Suarez are receiving at the moment.

We need to invest in centre halves first.

Some names that we have a possibility of realistically getting are: Huntelaar, Lewandowski, De Jong, Soldado, Cordozo, Van Wolfswinkel, Niang, Doumbia, Kerzhakov? Most of these guys know where to be at the right time, unlike Carroll, who even though he's getting better, is still a concern.

Djibril Cissé, Negredo and Papiss Cisse are a few players that in the past have said that they would like to play for us, in Djibril Cisse case, come back.

Personally I would like to see Doumbia, Papiss Cisse, Huntelaar or Negredo, because they know where to put the ball. Or in dream world, Gomez.

i think Suarez is a class above the rest. He needs players to move with him so that he can pass the ball. The swansea game was evident of this. Whenever he got the ball to move forward, there was no red in sight. He was either alone or only have Carrol. Lucas and Adam was playing way too deep. Our counter attack lacks pace. We need everyone to play a notch higher.. IMO

Suarez is doing everything on his own he needs quality alongside him Bellamy or Kuyt will do short term but then we need to sign a quality striker unfortunetly. Put the £35m wasted down to experience.

If we are going to go out and spend big on a finisher my number one pick would be Cavini. He won't be cheap tho, brilliant finisher and will be the perfect partner for Suarez as he already plays well with him in the national side.

On the other hand Cavani often goes missing for long periods in the games.

Perhaps that doesn't matter that much though, since Suarez hardly never goes missing.

I won't lie and say I watched him since I hardly watch seria a but on the few occasions I have he has been deadly infront of goal. He may go missing for some periods but give him and opportunity and he will bury it.

IF we need to buy another top quality striker I personally would go for Llorente. I think he'd fit right in in the EPL.
