Since Newcastle drew with Spurs, according to Faz that means they are just as good as them, and will finish fourth wont they faz.

spurs finished above liverpool the last 2 seasons so they are better than liverpool liverpool finished above WBA so liverpool are better than them . I'm not writing us off as 4th place contenders, I have faith in the team to get it done, but... with Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, and potentially Newcastle all fighting for 2 spots, its going to be a serious challenge. And thats the joys of the Prem my friend, only getting tougher nowadays! It does make the league very interesting,no doubt about it, but we need Europe!

We need extra force in January. Ones that can finish. We should not hesitate signings the likes of Marin, Gotze, Hazard. The more realistic target is Marko Marin we should sign him along side a clinical finisher like Podolski.

Anyway, moving on. I would rather take the league game than the Carling cup. Its important to take out the top teams, especially because it gets us closer back in the top four. We don't need the carling cup, we should use this to let our young guns have a go, we can see if anybody in the youth team can finish, unlike some in the senior team.
