lads who do think would be better for liverpool, peter crouch i taught done a very good job every time he was called upon when playing for us and having watched andy(cap)carroll this season and i no its still early but to me his is gonna be one of the worst buys for this club for quite a while, we sold peter crouch who i taught was doing quite well to buy a simular player in carroll who is playing shiit what do you think....

If you remember Crouch had a very poor start goal wise but I think Carrol will ultimately be better. He certainly has time on his side so I think we should get behind him as we did when Crouch first came here. I do share your concerns about him though. Just trying to stay possitive about him.

I will tell you at the end of the season. It will be unfair to comment right now.

Well Crouch was average , no better, no worse, imo and thats not good enough for a club like LFC. Regarding Carroll, Who really knows at this point? He shows occasional flashes and his activity rate is slowly improving, but overall his finishing has been pretty crap so far. Personally I don't like very tall finishers, as I feel their size gets in their way and hinders their speed and agility (vital quality in strikers). Can you ever imagine Carroll or Crouch performing the feats that Suarez shows us every game? I admit they give you different options up front but, can you imagine having two suarez's up front? Another reason I don't like about very tall front men is that it encourages lazy long ball tactics (hoof & hope) which more often than not just gives the ball back to the opposition. However having said all that, my jury on Andy is still out, only time can tell whether he'll prove a good buy or not.

Crouch went so many games without a goal. Like Carroll he had loads of critics on his back. But Rafa gave him full support and it paid off. I think we need to do the same with Andy Carroll.

He's not the finished article. He's only 22. Give him some breathing space. No point his own fans saying he's sh... etc. It's not his fault that we haven't done well for a while and that some of us are now looking for a magic bullet to instantly solve all our problems. It's not going to happen.

Lets get off his back and give him support - through thick or thin.
