I chose to support Liverpool because my uncles and one of my friends supported them. My friends Dad supported them, which I assume was the reason he and his brother supported them. I was about 6 or 7 at the time I think. I've never asked my uncles why they started supporting them, but they're lifelong fans too. I've never had another club, and never will. If they got relegated to the conference, i'd still support them too. Does that irk you?

I know people here who support Liverpool, Man Ure, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Sunderland, Wolves, Everton, Bolton, Blackburn, Leeds, West Ham, Notts Forest & Sheffield Wednesday.

Most people in Birkenhead will support Liverpool rather than Tranmere. So you could argue they are glory hunters. But the truth is we do follow success. I myself started to support Liverpool because of the inspiration of Shankly and because they started to win things. But I don't aplogise for that, its the way of the world.

I think OOT and foreign fans do bring alot into the Club and there role should never ever be overlooked by anyone, My argument is with the Club, I think it needs to be very careful and strike the right sort of balance when chasing overseas PPV money so as not to alienate the fans back home, which I fear it is very serious danger of doing.

Also, how do you feel about the fact that there are people playing for Liverpool who come from outside of the city? I'm sure you'd like to keep Gerrard, Carra & Spearing and f*ck the rest of them out of the club, would you?

No issues with anyone watching or playing for Liverpool wherever they are from. But thats not the point being made.

Yes there wouldn't be one.

I've met fans from all over the world. I could argue that many OOT fans are more dedicated that locals. Some set off days before a match, some get up at all hours... they don't just jump on a bus across town an hour before kick off.

The OOT vs Local Debate is pathetic. Both sets of fans are loyal and dedicated. Heart and the soul. They compliment each other. Each has a role to play.

There's loads of kids supporting Liverpool today. How the **** can they be glory hunters? They support the club through choice and that is their right and nobody has the right to say any different.

Such discussions are pathetic and not welcome on this site. Anyone bringing them here will be removed.

There are thousands of topics that can be discussed, I won't allow people to have to justify their support to the club they love. And for anyone who isn't from Liverpool, I have met hundreds of local supporters who hate those from Liverpool who bang on at OOT supporters. They're not worth your time.
