Am I the only one who scratches my head constantly at the chages Rafa makes during the game? Lucas, for Torres, for fksake!! Actually - while I think on, Lucas full stop, though thats well documented in itself...

Fair points all - my problem with Lucas is that he doesn't seem to be improving. Mascherano's on the bench if you're wanting to close the game out. Certainly more experienced.

But yeah, they should've defended it better, and cahill having the freedom of the six yard box was daft.

as i have said before lucas has no hope of showing what he can do as the only time he plays a match is in training - the bit part players, yossi, babel, lucas etc, don't turn out for the reserves so get no match practise - they have very little hope of playing well when they get a chance as the match sharpness is just not there

as for todays subs i will never understand why mash isnt brought on to protect a lead but more importantly why we feel the need to protect the lead against a clueless team like everton - they are just a modern day wimbledon - hoof it up and see what happens ..... we should have gone on and got two or three instead of sitting back and trying to hold onto one

Thanks to those two muppets, YET again, I fear we may have handed the silverware to the mancs YET again.
Hope I'm wrong, but I just can't see us overhauling them now.

Why those two muppets? I'm afraid Rafa has made two of the weirdest decisions in recent weeks and has pretty much been the destabilising influence. The rant, whether wrong or right was ill timed, his contract out in public again is not great and his decision to alter the team constantly is once again proving detrimental!

I agree they are muppets and we need shot sharpish but the recent probs are down to Rafa and his sometimes stubborness and eagerness to try and prove a point.

I'm in the minority smile but I think Lucas could be good. He's used as a scapegoat. If a team full of players with 5-10 years of premiership football, and millions of pounds of signings aren't able to get the win, why blame the youngster like Lucas. The fault lies elsewhere. Everyone knows Cahill gets plenty of goals. Wonder why he had a free header in the 6 yard box?

Guess you have to ask Skrtel this question...

I don't think you can blame zonal marking for this one - that area should have been covered but no one reacted to Cahill's run, the same happens week in week out if a player gets away from his marker.
Personally I still think zonal marking is the best method of defending - goals conceded by Liverpool from set pieces are very few and that has been the trend over the last few seasons and can only be down to this tactic.

I don't think the subs can be blamed for the result as they came on late in the game. With regards to the Everton goal, if all teams were perfect at defending then every game would be a 0-0 draw. Ok some people have to blame someone but you could go all the way and blame Rafa for bringing Benny on, blame Benny for the foul or blame all the team for not marking Cahill in the box.

I just cant understand WHY Rafa insists on playing Lucas and Yossi at some point during every game?!?! He should have been putting Macsh or even Babel on in front of Lucas....
