mybloodisred, If Carroll scores one a game, every game, then I'll be happy with him. He'll score over 40 a season and will be one of the best strikers in the world. Are you saying that's laughable because you'd exoect more?! Haha. No. If Downing produces a goal on a plate for another player like that every single game, then yes I'll be happy with him, and so will everyone else because he'll probably be the leading assist maker in the league. Any player can run around, mark a player or cover space and do sideways passes. It's the other stuff, creating that goal chance or scoring a goal that make the difference between an average player and a good one.
Fine, you are not anti-Downing, you're just way over the top in your negative opinion about him today.
As I said, there's nothing childish in saying you're anti a player. Lookka round the forums. You'll see most people are anti some player or other, or anti the manager etc. I was anti-Koncheskey, and anti-Poulsen. Nothing childish about it. Well I'm glad you've admitted labeling me anti downing was just completely wrong. And doing so is childish in fact, I maintain that. I thought konchesky and poulsen were not up to scratch for Liverpool FC, but I wasn't anti them, if they had a good game and turned it around I would have given credit where credit was due, and so should you. If downing scored a goal a game then I'd be very happy with that, he didn't...I want more from a 20 million pound england international than giving someone 1 chance per game. And so should you otherwise you've set your standards far too low.

aldo, carrolls needs service from wingers, and at the moment downing is struggling, to provide the service and so r the other players.
its like telling usain bolt to do the 10,000 metres and break the world record at the same time.
KD the players need to play to each other strengths and too many players r going missing per game.
my main concern is our midfield, without SG, we r crap and our midfield is so un-balanced, it has showed today...again.

I thought, Lucas wasn't as lively today. Suarez had an off game but still showed some serious class on a few occasions. Carroll worked pretty hard, but we looked more dangerous when he was replaced. Henderson and downing were completely ineffective for 99% of the game. Enrique had a good but not outstanding game. Johnson's defending is coming on leaps and bounds, he impressed me today.

Youve got to ask yourself what the fck is carroll doing outside the box when a ball is whipped in from downing or henderson, ive seen it many times this season . The service is there, he jst isnt busting a gut to get on the end of things

what you expect lain.the players are mediocrity at its worst.what you see with adam downing henderson carrol lucas is all they will ever be.are you starting to realise that now lain. No!dont rub your hands with glee just yet! It may surprise you but i know our team isnt exactly full of messi types! so sit on yours hands for awhile yet cos unlike you i can see our players need to be given time to gel to see if they can grow into a good team,i dont/didnt expect miracles this year for sure theres no guarantees with any team thats being rebuilt,as you see i expect nothing! in the meantime im willing to try things out! are you? its seems its you who expects not me.WE CANT AFFORD READYMADE GREAT PLAYERS! i accept that!

set ur standards average/low and the results against norwich, swansea would seem a point gained, than points lost.
but were are LFC and our standards r so high that the sky is the limit, anything less is not acceptable.
