For me from the players I have seen , I would go with Kenny - he's the reason I began supporting LFC then Souness and Gerrard on equal second and then Barnes. no wayyy!! souness is three times the player gerrard is.much better than gerrard.sounes is the greatest midfield player to ever play for lfc.he could dominate a game unlike gerrard. gerrard is basicly a striker.hes useless in the center of midfield.

Gerrard is the best CM in the game, man. What pipe are you smoking? He has everything a box to box CM needs: vision, touch, creativity, deadly accurate passing, and a wicked long range shot.

I think Gerrard was better than souness and I have seen both. But its a tough call I just think Gerrard had more all round to his game and was more mobile. Gerrard was a lot better offensively and not as good as souness in the tackle but not much worse. So overall I would choose Gerrard. But my favourite of all was Barnes.

It is a tough call,it is also difficult to compare, would Gerrard have cut it in Soueys era? how many red cards would souey see it the modern game?

I am not anti souness by the way he was one of the greats. Just in my view Gerrard slightly had the edge. I also feel players from older eras we give them more credit they seem to gain a mythical status over time.

I'm not sure I can make that call, but Stevie is my favorite player (though that doesn't necessarily mean the best). He has so many intangibles too: the never say die attitude, the ability to come through in the clutch, and the ability to lead and inspire. You can't be taught that. I was just saying that pictonclock calling Stevie useless in the midfield is inane.
