Not good lads. Just as he was getting back to fitness. Always said we could get 4th but wouldn't make my mind up until we played City and Chelsea. At that point we could have seen what Gerard was like after a long lay off.

What a pain in the rear end for him. I'd say he is well annoyed.

Not sure about 4th now. Henderson is going to have to UP his game BIG TIME. The same with Downing.

Best we can hipe for his him to come back after XMAS.

Looks like he may be out for a month coz he had fluid drained from his ankle!! Bit of a worry with these infections.

Maybe there's more to it that I realise, but getting an infection to a knock he got in training just seems pretty irresponsible to me. Especially since his last layoff was extended because of an infection. He'll be missed, hope he doesn't continue getting dogged by these layoffs, we need him playing week in week out.
